2. Empower of the Teacher: Mr. Mustofa Kamal
A Computer Literacy Program (CLP) teacher, Mr. Mustofa Kamal (middle of two young ladies), visited the USA on a scholarship from the State Department. In 2007 VAB-NJ and D.Net set up a computer learning center (CLC) under CLP sponsored by Mr. Salahudin Shahriar, PA 17050, USA, in memory of his mother Begum Shamsun Nahar. .Mr. Mustofa Kamal was selected as a trainer of CLP.
3. Mr. Zahidur Rahman
“Once I came across the information that Bagerhat High School launched the CLC to provide computer education to the students. As an ex-student, I took my admission there and got training on basic computing. After that, I purchased a digital camera, printer and a computer to open up my own business. Now I am continuing my photo printing business and provide other computer related services”. This a story of Mr. Zahidur Rahman, an ex-student of Bagerhat Bohumukhi High School, Bagerhat.
4. Ms. Morium Sultana and Ms. Asmani Afrin
“We belong to the poor family and for such it was not possible for us to finance any computer course, But CLC at Kurigram Girls High School opened up new horizon for us and we got very effective computer training there. This training also helped us to find good employment opportunity”. This is the stories of Ms. Morium Sultana and Ms. Asmani Afrin both of the students of Computer Literacy Program in Kurigram Girls High School.
5. Mr. Roman
“Nowadays it is not possible for us to do our work without computer. Realizing this truth I rushed to a free computer course offered by CLC. There I learned all the basic skills regarding computer operation. Now I am working as a computer operator at a printing house. People in the rural areas are excluded from the advantage of modern technology and if they get proper scope certainly they will do well like the urban people”. This is story of Mr. Roman who came from a very poor family in Bagerhat area. He was a student of SN Trust Computer Literacy Center, Boitpur, Bagerhat.
6. Merina Rashid
Merina Rashid was one of our society's underprivileged girls. Since her father died when she was eight years old, Dustho Meyeder Nirapad Ashram o Punorbashan Kendro (DMNAPK) located in Gazipur stood by her as her family's financial condition deteriorated. She found asylum at DMNAPK and attended classes there from elementary to higher secondary school. She learnt computer for free in her struggling life after setting up a Computer Literacy Center (CLC) from Computer Literacy Program (CLP) at DMNAPK in 2017. Following this, she is currently working in an organization called ATI Limited by applying this computer education in her life.
7. Nasim Al Awal
At the beginning of the 21st century, computers were a supernatural thing in the remote areas of Bangladesh and Amla Sadarpur in Kushtia, Bangladesh was such region. Nasim Al Awal was a secondary school student in the area and for him the computer was completely unreal and dreamy. Nasim Al Awal discovered his dream after the foundation of Computer Literacy Center (CLC) in Amla Sadarpur High School in 2004 on the initiative of CLP. In that dream and path, computer education from CLP has shaped his life today as a successful person in the ICT sector. He is currently working as a Network Engineer at NTT Communication in Japan.
