The Certificate Distribution Ceremony for Batch 1 and the Orientation Program for the new batch of the Essential Office Skills course were successfully held at Bagerhat Uddipon Bador Samosu Bidda Niketon. The event marked a significant milestone in the program’s journey to empower young individuals with essential workplace competencies.

The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests, including the Principal of Govt. P.C. College, the Principal and Vice Principal of Bagerhat Mohila College, and Eng. Shahin from USA. Their presence added immense value to the event, as they shared their perspectives on career development and the growing demand for practical skills in the professional world.

Students from Batch 1 took the stage to share their learning experiences, reflect on the course’s impact, and provide an overall review. They also discussed the newly introduced topics aimed at enhancing the curriculum’s effectiveness. The school principal emphasized the importance of this course in preparing youth for today’s competitive job market.

In Bagerhat, many young individuals struggle with limited job opportunities and the growing demands of the professional sector. This course is designed to bridge that gap by equipping them with vital office skills, including ICT proficiency, business communication, and workplace etiquette.

The second batch of the Essential Office Skills course is set to begin in mid-April 2025, continuing its mission to develop job-ready skills among the youth.

CLC Inaugurated at Darul Quran International Madrasah, Gowainghat, Sylhet

CLP Bangladesh has established a Computer Literacy Center (CLC) at Darul Quran International Madrasah in Gowainghat, Sylhet, with support from Nur Ahmed, to expand digital education opportunities in rural communities. The madrasah, which has 225 students and 9 teachers, previously had limited ICT resources, restricting hands-on learning.

The new CLC is equipped with computers, internet connectivity, and essential devices, creating a dedicated space for practical digital learning. Through a structured 40-hour training program, around 80 students each year will gain foundational computer skills. Teachers are also receiving training to integrate technology into their teaching, ensuring sustainable and long-term impact.

Computer Literacy Center and Smart Classroom Launched at Punduria Govt. Primary School, Pabna

CLP Bangladesh has inaugurated a Computer Literacy Center (CLC) and a Smart Classroom (SCR) at 36 No. Punduria Government Primary School in Santhia, Pabna, with support from Hironmoy Sikdar. A prior assessment revealed limited ICT resources despite over 800 students, prompting the initiative.

The CLC now provides computers, internet access, and a 40-hour training program for 30–50 students annually, while the SCR introduces smart technology to enhance classroom learning for around 150–200 students each year. Teacher training is also being provided to ensure effective use of these facilities.

This initiative aims to strengthen digital education and create long-term learning opportunities for students in the region.
