A new Computer Literacy Center (CLC) founded at Narikel Baria ZA Secondary School, Jhenaidah

Recently Computer Literacy Program (CLP) founded a new Computer Literacy Center (CLC) at Narikel Baria ZA Secondary School, Jhenaidah on January 17, 2022. CLP has achieved another step forward in spreading computer literacy among Bangladesh's disadvantaged youth by establishing this CLC, reaching total 287 centers. The center is situated in Narikel Baria, a rural region in Bangladesh's Jhenaidah district. Md. Abu Jafar, a kind Bangladeshi presently residing in Canada, has extended his helping hand to disadvantaged students by sponsoring this CLC in this digital era, enabling them to pursue a modern educational life.


This school currently has an enrollment of 880 students, 409 of them are female. To convey modern computer educations to the students properly by CLC center’s teachers, a teacher training program was organized to train teachers. Under the guidance of trained teachers, 8 students from one batch will be able to learn fundamental computer skills with the help of “এসো কম্পিউটার শিখি (Esho Computer Sikhi)” book.

Computer education has become deeply essential for students in today's world. The headmaster of the school expressed his sincere gratitude to the sponsor for establishing and opening the door of computer literacy education for the disadvantaged students. He also praised the fact that more of his students will now be able to learn new computer lessons at the school.

CLC Inaugurated at Darul Quran International Madrasah, Gowainghat, Sylhet

CLP Bangladesh has established a Computer Literacy Center (CLC) at Darul Quran International Madrasah in Gowainghat, Sylhet, with support from Nur Ahmed, to expand digital education opportunities in rural communities. The madrasah, which has 225 students and 9 teachers, previously had limited ICT resources, restricting hands-on learning.

The new CLC is equipped with computers, internet connectivity, and essential devices, creating a dedicated space for practical digital learning. Through a structured 40-hour training program, around 80 students each year will gain foundational computer skills. Teachers are also receiving training to integrate technology into their teaching, ensuring sustainable and long-term impact.

Computer Literacy Center and Smart Classroom Launched at Punduria Govt. Primary School, Pabna

CLP Bangladesh has inaugurated a Computer Literacy Center (CLC) and a Smart Classroom (SCR) at 36 No. Punduria Government Primary School in Santhia, Pabna, with support from Hironmoy Sikdar. A prior assessment revealed limited ICT resources despite over 800 students, prompting the initiative.

The CLC now provides computers, internet access, and a 40-hour training program for 30–50 students annually, while the SCR introduces smart technology to enhance classroom learning for around 150–200 students each year. Teacher training is also being provided to ensure effective use of these facilities.

This initiative aims to strengthen digital education and create long-term learning opportunities for students in the region.
