CLP and PI Successfully Conclude First Batch of Essential Office Skills Course
On December 29, 2024, the Computer Literacy Program (CLP) and Progress Through Innovation (PI) successfully concluded the Essential Office Skills course for the first batch of participants in Bagerhat. This comprehensive three-month program, which began on September 21, 2024, was designed to equip Bangladeshi youth with critical workplace skills and boost their confidence in the competitive job market.
The final evaluation included a structured written exam and a practical viva session, overseen by a five-member evaluation board. Participants presented their CVs, demonstrated their learning outcomes, and engaged in a real-world interview simulation, showcasing their readiness for professional challenges.
The course curriculum covered essential modules such as computer skills, English communication, professional etiquette, and office behavior. The program emphasized hands-on learning and practical applications to ensure participants were well-prepared for real-world scenarios.
Feedback from the evaluation will be used to enhance future iterations of the program. This initiative reflects CLP and PI's ongoing commitment to youth development and their vision of fostering a skilled and confident workforce in Bangladesh.

CLP Bangladesh has established a Computer Literacy Center (CLC) at Darul Quran International Madrasah in Gowainghat, Sylhet, with support from Nur Ahmed, to expand digital education opportunities in rural communities. The madrasah, which has 225 students and 9 teachers, previously had limited ICT resources, restricting hands-on learning.
The new CLC is equipped with computers, internet connectivity, and essential devices, creating a dedicated space for practical digital learning. Through a structured 40-hour training program, around 80 students each year will gain foundational computer skills. Teachers are also receiving training to integrate technology into their teaching, ensuring sustainable and long-term impact.

AprilComputer Literacy Center and Smart Classroom Launched at Punduria Govt. Primary School, Pabna

CLP Bangladesh has inaugurated a Computer Literacy Center (CLC) and a Smart Classroom (SCR) at 36 No. Punduria Government Primary School in Santhia, Pabna, with support from Hironmoy Sikdar. A prior assessment revealed limited ICT resources despite over 800 students, prompting the initiative.
The CLC now provides computers, internet access, and a 40-hour training program for 30–50 students annually, while the SCR introduces smart technology to enhance classroom learning for around 150–200 students each year. Teacher training is also being provided to ensure effective use of these facilities.
This initiative aims to strengthen digital education and create long-term learning opportunities for students in the region.
