Talora Girls High School Receives First Computer Lab Through CLP and Alumni Support

In a remarkable gesture of community upliftment and educational empowerment, Talora Girls High School in Dupchanchia, Bogura, has received its first-ever computer lab, thanks to Computer Literacy Program (CLP) and the generous donation of Merajun Nassa Jharna, an alumna of the school.

The newly installed computer lab includes 4 laptops, 1 printer, and 1 router, forming a basic yet powerful package that will allow students to finally engage in practical computer education—something they had never experienced before.

The school’s Headmaster expressed sincere gratitude to both CLP and Ms. Jharna, describing the donation as a deeply emotional and long-awaited milestone for the institution. “This gift has not only filled a technological gap in our school,” he said, “but it has also inspired our students and staff to believe in the power of community and giving back.”

Students warmly welcomed the new resources with joy and excitement. For many, it was their first opportunity to touch and operate a computer. With the lab in place, they can now complete their computer practical lessons, explore basic digital skills, and build a foundation for future learning and career paths.

In heartfelt moments shared during the handover, several students expressed their aspirations to one day support their school in the same way—demonstrating how a single act of giving can spark a cycle of hope and contribution.

CLP’s mission, beyond providing access to education and digital tools, is to inspire underprivileged students to dream big and to one day give back to the communities they come from. This story is a shining example of that mission in action.
