CLC Inaugurated at Darul Quran International Madrasah, Gowainghat, Sylhet

Expanding access to digital education in rural communities, CLP Bangladesh has established a Computer Literacy Center (CLC) at Darul Quran International Madrasah, Gowainghat, Sylhet. This initiative has been implemented with the generous support of Nur Ahmed.

The madrasah, which serves 225 students and 9 teachers, previously had limited access to digital tools, with only six desktop computers and one printer available for student use. This often restricted students from gaining hands-on experience with technology despite their strong interest in learning computer skills.

The newly launched Computer Literacy Center provides a dedicated space equipped with essential devices and internet connectivity, enabling structured and practical learning. Through a 40-hour basic computer skills program, around 80 students each year will have the opportunity to develop foundational digital knowledge, helping them stay better prepared for future academic and professional pathways. To ensure long-term impact, teachers are also being supported with training so they can effectively use digital tools and integrate them into their teaching practices.
