Inauguration of Computer Literacy Center and Smart Classroom at Dr Fazlur Rahman Khan Pilot Institute, Delduar, Tangail
CLP Bangladesh proudly announces the successful inauguration of a Computer Literacy Center (CLC) and a Smart Classroom (SCR) at Dr Fazlur Rahman Khan Pilot Institute, Jangalia, Tangail, following a comprehensive feasibility assessment conducted earlier by the CLP team.
The initiative was made possible through the generous support of Dr Fazle Nasim Khan, whose contribution has helped transform the learning environment for hundreds of students at the institution.
The feasibility assessment revealed that the school, despite having 578 students and 14 teachers, lacked access to essential digital resources such as computers, laptops, printers, and internet connectivity. Recognizing this gap, CLP Bangladesh designed a tailored intervention to introduce digital learning facilities that would enhance both student learning and teacher capacity.
The newly established Computer Literacy Center (CLC) is equipped with modern resources including computers, a printer, and internet connectivity. Through this center, approximately 200 students annually will receive structured training in basic computer skills through a 40-hour course. This initiative aims to build foundational digital literacy and prepare students for future academic and professional opportunities.
In addition, the Smart Classroom (SCR) has been introduced to integrate technology into everyday teaching and learning. With tools such as a smart TV, laptop, and internet access, the Smart Classroom will benefit approximately 150–200 students each year, providing access to interactive educational content in English and Mathematics. This approach is expected to make lessons more engaging, interactive, and effective.
CLP Bangladesh extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr Fazle Nasim Khan and all stakeholders involved in making this initiative a reality. This project marks a significant step toward empowering students with essential 21st-century skills and strengthening the overall quality of education in the region.
